Move-In Ministry
Organizer:
We are looking for one or two persons who love to organize! The Move-In Ministry delivers household items, including bed sheets and kitchen items, along with beds and furniture. Most of the household items are donated and we need volunteers to sort and store them in preparation for deliveries.
At our South Austin storage facility, you can volunteer according to your own schedule or join the crews as they prepare for deliveries on Wednesday and Thursday mornings.
Time needed: 2-4 hours/week.
Deliveries and Harvests:
Join the furniture pick-up (we call it a “harvest”) and delivery teams on Wednesday or Thursday morning on a weekly basis. We always try to finish up before lunch. We pick up furniture, inventory it and store it in our South Austin facility, and then deliver it. Pickup trucks are greatly appreciated, but a number of the team members have SUVs or sedans.
Time needed: 5 hours/week.
Bread For All Food Pantry
First Shift Volunteer:
Sort and bag food for delivery with a team of great volunteers from 11am-2.30pm on Mondays at Faith Presbyterian Church, 1314 E. Oltorf St.
Especially needed are stronger volunteers who can handle 50 lb. bags of produce.
Second Shift Volunteer:
Distribute food and/or register recipients from 4.30pm-7pm on Monday evenings.
